For the Living IncogNegro theater show, what was the most surprising feedback ?
The most surprising feedback I received after performing Living Incognegro was not only were there people who could relate, but there were incognito people in the audience that I couldn’t see.
We were able to find each other and share our stories that we knew that the other person would understand.
They say that sympathy is having compassion for another person and empathy is being able to really say that you’ve been in that person’s shoes.
When you’re Living IncogNegro, it is hard to find somebody else who’s been in your shoes.
It’s really impossible for so many of us. So to all of a sudden find people who are able to relate to it was extremely moving, and it made me super curious about their stories as well.
