Gin reveals her true thoughts behind her social media

I’m of an age where social media didn’t exist for decades, right? So I know that a person can exist without it.

And real live offline relationships are nine times out of 10 more valuable, right?

Because of what it literally does to your nervous system, like to have a hug, right?

It brings the blood pressure down, cytokines float away, all of these things. But it’s not like you can’t get hit of serotonin or other good chemicals when something positive happens online. So lately I’m thinking about it like fire, right?

You need fire to survive as anyone who’s ever survived on the show alone, which is one of my favorite shows can tell you. You need the fire, but fire can also burn your tent down. It’s about being conscious of the usage and just oscillating back and forth. And if my friends are surprised that I didn’t see something that they posted. Okay. Maybe we’ll have a real conversation about it and you can tell me a little bit more.

If I have an opportunity to support somebody and like what they’re doing or give a shout about somebody great. In the meantime, let’s all live our lives and see where social media fits into our lives.

It’s like that whole, “are you living to work or working to live scenario” I’m gonna try not to get burned, but I’m also gonna try and do things to warm people’s hearts.

I’m Gin Hammond and I’m Living IncogNegro.

I’m glad you’re here and we’re on this journey together.
